Says psychedelic pop-rock group Amo Joy of their sound and its origins, "Our sound is fairly eclectic. We like to write catchy songs that people can dance to but that are also rich with musical value and fuzzy guitar solos. We’re not afraid to use noises uncommon in most rock music; we use a lot of mono-synth, melodica, and even kazoo. Our songs are filled with vocal harmonies as well as varying, overlapping melody lines. Our influences are enormous in number but the most prominent are Pink Floyd (and Syd Barrett), The Beatles, David Bowie, and more modernly, bands like The Olivia Tremor Control and The Starlight Mints. We formed not too long ago but we're already recording a lot and playing as many shows as we can get our hands on. We hope to see you soon!"
